About Rondo del Valle

Below you will find some common questions about Rondo del Valle.

What is the history of Rondo del Valle?

We are a family originally from Ensenada who arrived in the Valle de Guadalupe in 1978, becoming one of the first settlers in the region. In 2014, we opened Rondo del Valle, fulfilling the family dream of creating a winery. Our property has over 70 years of history and represents three generations dedicated to the land and the culture of wine.

What does "Rondo del Valle" mean?

The name is inspired by the musical form "rondo," whose main theme is repeated in different nuances. This philosophy reflects life itself: cycles that combine beginning and end, unrepeatable forms, like each of our vintages. Each vintage is unique but retains our family essence.

When did they open to the public?

We opened our doors to the public in 2014, starting with our iconic underground wine cellar, personally staffed by the family.

What makes your underground cellar unique?

Our underground wine cellar is built around natural rock formations, creating a unique and authentic atmosphere. It is one of the most photographed and admired spaces in the Guadalupe Valley.

How many hectares of vineyard do you have?

We have our own vineyard where we grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Grenache. We also work with grapes from different vineyards in the Guadalupe Valley to create our blends.

Who is your winemaker?

Our wines are produced under the constant supervision of our winemaker and trained staff, who also guide our wine tastings.

What other experiences do you offer besides the winery?

We are part of the Rondo Group, which includes:

  • Rondo del Valle : Winery with tastings and experiences
  • Aires de Lavanda : Lavender field with a drink garden, sensory experiences, and a shop
  • King & Queen : Gourmet restaurant with signature cuisine
  • Rancho el Parral : Boutique bed & breakfast with breakfast included
What sets them apart from other wineries in the Valley?

We are distinguished by:

  • More than 45 years of family history in the Valle de Guadalupe
  • Unique underground cellar built around natural rock
  • Multisensory experiences (wine + lavender + gastronomy)
  • Personalized and family attention
  • Multiple experiences in one place
  • Philosophy of the "rondo": each cycle is unique but maintains our essence
