Mulled wine is the perfect drink for chilly nights in the Guadalupe Valley. This traditional recipe combines our red wines with aromatic spices to create a comforting and delicious experience.
Ingredients:

1 bottle of red wine (750ml) - we recommend our Cautivo or Morador

2 oranges (1 sliced, 1 juiced)

1 sliced lemon

3 cinnamon sticks

4 star anise
-
6 cloves

3 tablespoons of honey or brown sugar

Optional: 1 shot of brandy or rum
Preparation:

In a large pot, pour the red wine

Add the orange and lemon slices

Add the spices: cinnamon, star anise, and cloves.

Add the orange juice and honey

Heat over medium-low heat for 15-20 minutes (do not boil)

Keep the temperature between 60-70°C

Add the brandy or rum if desired (optional)

Strain and serve hot in heatproof cups
